Client Background:


The Arkansas Birth Control organization is a critical resource for residents of Arkansas, offering comprehensive information on birth control options and reproductive health. The site’s objective is to make it easier for users to locate relevant information, understand their options, and access vital resources.


Project Goals:


1. Redesign the “Where to Get Birth Control” page, maintaining existing content while adding visual enhancements for better navigation and accessibility.

2. Implement WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards sitewide to ensure inclusivity for users with disabilities.

3. Enhance mobile responsiveness for the “Explore Birth Control Methods” section, creating a seamless experience across devices with a swipeable interface on smaller screens.

4. Add a “The Latest” section on the homepage to showcase current content in a consistent and visually cohesive manner.


Challenges and Solutions:


1. Redesign Challenges:

Challenge: Ensuring the “Concerns About Cost” section highlighted essential information without overcrowding the page or sacrificing readability.

Solution: Developed a new callout design that draws user attention to critical details while preserving a clear visual hierarchy.
